At FCLC , we envision a world where every child receives the care and support they need to thrive. We are committed to providing high-quality child care services that promote the physical, emotional, and cognitive development of each child in our care. Our staff are licensed as childcare teachers by the State of Wisconsin and are certified in CPR, AHT/SBS, SIDS, First Aid, Child Abuse and Neglect Training, and Infant and Toddler training.
The toddlers are given the opportunity to explore and play while using developmental toys designed to stimulate large and small muscle development as well as language skills. They take part in different activities throughout the day such as finger plays, music, storytelling, rhythm instruments, finger painting, sensory activities, beginning art activities, introductory pasting and coloring and simple group games, as well as indoor and outdoor gym time.
Parents are expected to bring the child’s food or formula (if used), monthly classroom snacks, disposable diapers, a change of clothing and any comfort items the child may need. Please label these items clearly. Cribs will be provided for any child younger than 1 yr old. Any child over the age of 1 will need a sleeping bag or sleep mat with a blanket for rest time.
Each toddler under the age of 2 is required to have an intake form on file to help the staff meet the individual needs of the child . The teachers try to follow this as closely as possible in a group setting. Usage of highchairs, developmental toys are available. The ratio for our toddler classes are 2:8
